Shot entirely on 35mm film, ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ ๐ช๐ด ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ช๐ต is a personal documentation of what it feels like and looks like to step into your early twenties in an era that seems impossible to find authenticity in - thanks to the age of social media and AI. The series uses candids of friends and lovers, intimate still life portraits, pictures of drugs and hangovers, and everything in-between to highlight the Gen Z experience. Itโs an honest, vulnerable, and borderline spiritual documentation of Leeโs โcoming of ageโ.

โThe photographs [โฆ] are filled with a certain nostalgia, but not the typical nostalgia that can cause work to feel treacle or forced. Instead, thereโs a sense of nostalgia for something that Lee may have once had, or perhaps believed he should have had. In other words, thereโs a sense of longing in these photographs. And itโs pervasive. Itโs longing for the love Lee sees. Itโs longing for the joy. And itโs sometimes an acknowledgment of exactly where heโs at: even if that place feels like shit.โ
